VFW Auxiliary to meet Wednesday
HURON — The VFW Post 1776 Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Post home, located in the Huron Mall.

Holiday Extravaganza dinner and concert
HURON — The Huron Music Parents is hosting its annual Holiday Extravaganza Dinner from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Monday, Dec 18, in the Huron High School Commons.
The dinner will be followed by the HHS music department Holiday Concert at 7 p.m., featuring all band, choirs and orchestra. Everyone is welcome. Iroquois Legion plans breakfast today
IROQUOIS — The Bensley-Rounds American Legion Post is hosting a breakfast today to benefit the Iroquois Youth Activity Fund. The breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Post home.
The menu will include include all-you-can-eat pancakes or French toast with eggs, sausage, coffee and juice.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

BCAN to serve Christmas dinner Wednesday
HURON — Beadle County Area Nutrition will serve an early Christmas dinner on Wednesday, at 11:30 a.m. at the Huron Senior Center.
The menu will be baked ham, parslied potatoes, broccoli corn bake, crunchy cranberry salad, fresh baked dinner roll, Christmas cookie, and ice cream.

This meal is served by the senior nutrition program, but everyone is welcome to attend.
Meal reservations are appreciated by noon on Tuesday. Reservations can be made by calling 352-6091 or 352-8291.

Iroquois Methodist plans candlelight service
IROQUOIS — The Iroquois Methodist Church is planning a candlelight service at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

NAMI plans Christmas party Wednesday
HURON — NAMI-Huron is planning a Christmas party from 5 to 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Drop-In Center, 255 Iowa Ave. S.E. Please bring a plate of goodies to share.

Christmas potluck for Cardiac/PAH groups
HURON — A Christmas potluck for the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and Cardiac support groups is planned at noon Tuesday in the HRMC Legacy Plaza Auditorium.
Attendees are asked to bring a dish to pass. Soup, beverages, plates, cups and utensils will be provided by the HRMC rehab department. The group will enjoy a time of food, fellowship, games, prizes and Christmas music. Please call 605-353-6531 to RSVP.
The Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) support group provides support and education for patients who suffer from high blood pressure of the lungs.
The “Heart Smart Cardiac - Better Breathers Pulmonary Support Group” promotes support and education for community members who have heart and lung disease. For more information about both support groups, call 353-6531.

Snowmobile Club plans Christmas party
HURON — The Great Plains Snowtrailers Snowmobile Club will meet for dinner and a Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Lodge Restaurant. The meeting is open to the public and all interested snowmobilers are invited to attend.

Washington 4-5 Center plans Christmas
program Tuesday
HURON — Washington School fourth- and fifth-grade students will present a Christmas program, “Holiday Road Trip,” on Tuesday.
Fourth-grade students will perform at 6 p.m., and the fifth-grade students will perform at 7 p.m.

Wolsey Senior Center plans dinner Tuesday
WOLSEY — The Wolsey Senior Center will host a big dinner Tuesday at noon. There will be bingo and card playing.
