HURON — Each year, the current class of Leadership Huron chooses a specific project to support during its class year.

This year, the Leadership Huron Class has selected the Huron Regional Medical Center’s (HRMC) Dialysis Department as its Community Project, and as a fundraiser for its project, Leadership Huron is hosting Vegas Night!

From 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22 at the Nordby Exhibit Hall, come and try your luck, while the dialysis department comes out ahead at the end of the night.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and are available by contacting the Huron Chamber & Visitors Bureau. The event will raise funds and awareness to help the HRMC Dialysis Department in its mission to provide treatment and care to the patients of Huron and surrounding communities.

Patients in the area rely on this essential treatment for quality of life and it is crucial that HRMC maintain the availability of this care in Huron. There is a growing need for updated medical equipment and additional space to provide this treatment. Without it, patients would be expected to travel potentially hundreds of miles three times per week. Balancing work, families and extracurricular activities would be nearly impossible.

Please join the Leadership Huron Class at its Vegas Night fundraiser for an evening of fun. There will be Bingo, Blackjack, Roulette, a silent auction, gun raffles and a chance to win cash prizes  All proceeds will benefit the HRMC Dialysis Department.
