MILLER — The Sanborn Central-Woonsocket Blackhawks claimed a 3-0 victory over the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders in a 281 Conference volleyball match up Tuesday night in Miller.
Set scores for the visiting Blackhawks were 25-19, 25-17 and 25-8, as the team improved to a season record of 9-7. Sunshine Bible Academy fell to a 1-14 record on the season.
Leading the Blackhawks were Kaylee White and Brooke Doering each with three aces, while Cassidy Slykuis hit eight kills.
Liza Konanche served three aces and hit one kill for the Crusaders, while Aja Paul had one ace and three kills.
Sunshine Bible Academy travels to Iroquois, while Sanborn Central-Woonsocket will host Tripp-Delmont/Armour on Thursday.

Oldham/Ramona-Rutland 1

HURON — The James Valley Christian Lady Vikings dropped the opening set, but came back to win three straight to take a 3-1 win over the Oldham/Ramona-Rutland Raiders in non-conference volleyball action at the JVC Gymnasium Tuesday night. Scores for JVC were 23-25, 25-15, 25-11, 25-20.
Brenna Held pounded home 19 kills and added four blocks to the Lady Vikes’ attack, while teammate Angelina Zuccaro added 14 kills and five aces. Emily Wedel also had five aces and Julia Blom charted nine kills in the match. Karilyn Wieting had 48 assists for JVC.
O/R-R got six kills from Julie Trygstad, 14 assists from Khloe Tieman, while Kylie Anderson had four aces and 21 digs. Brooklyn Hageman also had three aces for the Raiders, who fall to 4-10 with the loss.
JVC, now 7-8, hosts Aberdeen Christian Saturday night.
