W-W students step back in the past

Students from Wolsey-Wessington School visited the Dakotaland Museum. Executive Director Louise Van Poll gave a guided tour to the group, after which they broke into small groups to complete a scavenger hunt.
The exhibits they were most interested in were the log cabin, Native American artifacts, and Patsy the steam engine. Some activities they enjoyed included using the rotary telephone, trying Morse code on the telegraph key, playing checkers, and dressing up in pioneer clothes. Each child received a gift bag at the end of the tour.
