Watertown rolls past Tigers

HURON — Despite being able to hang close during the opening half, the Huron girls’ soccer team suffered a lopsided loss in its season opener against Watertown on Friday at Tiger Stadium.
The Arrows used the final 40 minutes to break the game open en route to an 11-1 victory.
Nightin Day had the lone goal for the Tigers in the opening half. She scored on a pass from Wah Ku Htoo.
Fatima Reyes had seven saves as the goalkeeper for Huron.

Watertown also recorded a 10-0 victory in the junior varsity girls’ game.
Wah Ku Htoo had six saves in the net for the Tigers in the second half, while Lay Say Paw recorded four saves in the opening half.
The Huron girls’ will return to action Tuesday, when they travel to face Aberdeen Central.
