HURON — William P. “Bill” Gross, 65, of Huron passed away Friday, June 28, 2019, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m., Monday, July 8, at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
William P. Gross was born March 26, 1954, in Huron to Jake K. and Barbara (Stahl) Gross. He was raised on a farm north of Iroquois, where he attended school. He served six years in the South Dakota Army National Guard HHC 153rd Engineer Battalion. He was united in marriage to Lynnett Erickson November 27, 1996. He worked at Carlson’s for 46 years until health issues forced him to retire. He loved fishing, hunting and racing. He spent several years working on the pit crew for Jim Searing.
He is survived by his wife, Lynnett; stepsons, David Erickson and Gregory Skinner, Jr.; siblings, Gordon (Mary) Gross, and Barbara Rosenberger; five stepgrandchildren; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene and Dennis; stepdaughter, Heather Skinner; and nephew, Brad Rosenberger
