William Muser, 59, of De Smet

DE SMET — William Muser, 59, De Smet, died Friday, November 24, 2017, at Avera De Smet Memorial Hospital in De Smet.  
A funeral service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 1, at De Smet Community Church. Burial will be in De Smet Cemetery.  Visitation hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Osthus Funeral Home in De Smet.  
William Muser was born October 28, 1958, at Volga to Lyle Muser and Donna (Carlson) Muser. He graduated from De Smet High School in 1977, and joined the National Guard serving from 1977 to 1984.
He was united in marriage to Juanita Lebahn October 6, 1979. He had been employed by the Kingsbury County Highway Department, Coast to Coast, John Doyle Trucking, CMI, Bales Livestock, and Cooks Waste Paper and Recycling.
He loved his family and his grandchildren, the outdoors, and raising cattle on his hobby ranch.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita; children, Wayne (Donna) Muser of Harrisburg, Amanda (Steve) Parteka of Audubon, Minn., Paula (John) Pettigrew of Aberdeen, and Tina (Tyler) Welbig of Harrisburg; mother, Donna Muser of De Smet; sisters, Kathy Lubinus of Platte, Susan (Ken) Dolph of Christianburg, Va., and Marlene (Randy) Knutson of Miller; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Muser; and his
grandparents.
