REDFIELD — Wilmer Wayne Kaufman, 89, of Redfield, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at home surrounded by his family.
His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., today
at the Doland United Methodist Church in Doland. Burial will follow in the Doland Cemetery.
Wilmer Wayne Kaufman was born September 20, 1928, on a farm near Moundridge, Kan. to Daniel D. and Matilda (Goering) Kaufman. He was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Williams September 24, 1988 at Doland.
Family was very important to Wilmer. He loved going to activities of the grandkids and playing with his great-grandson. He enjoyed bingo and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Rhonda (Corey) Wobbema of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; siblings,  Milo (Betty) Kaufman of Potwin, Kan., Dalmer Kaufman of Durham, Kan., Reitha Klaassen, and Jarold Kaufman both of The Village, Fla.; brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Dwight Kruse of Marion, Kan., Menno Schmidt of Hutchinson, Kan., Jeanette Kaufman of Clark, Marilyn (Dave) Nettleton of Davenport, Iowa, and Kathy Williams of Midland.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Mildred Klaassen, Leona Schmidt, Jerrie Kruse, and Leonard Kaufman; and his special pet, Angel.
