LAKE PRESTON - The Wolsey-Wessington Warbirds, ranked No. 3 in the preseason Class 9A poll, rolled to a 50-0 victory over the Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks Friday in Lake Preston.

Sharks quarterback Josh McMasters scrambled for a five-yard run on the first play from scrimmage, but it was all downhill from there for the Sharks.

Caleb Richmond had three touchdowns for the Warbirds, two running and one passing. Colin Hughes ran for a 34-yard score and pushed the ball across on two 2-point conversions for a Warbird attack that spread the ball around.

The Warbirds (1-0) will host top-ranked Gregory Friday while the Sharks (0-1) host Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy in Lake Preston.
