HURON — Tickets for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series event, scheduled July 1 at Dakota State Fair Speedway, are now available for purchase at slspromotions.ticketforce.com or by calling 815-344-2023.
Donny Schatz of Fargo, N.D., who is the eight-time and defending series champion, claimed a victory when the World of Outlaws made its inaugural visit to DSFS in 2015.
Shane Stewart and Daryn Pittman pressured Schatz for the victory, while Joey Saldana turned the fastest lap of the 28 drivers in qualifying.
Schatz, who has a series-leading nine wins this season, leads the points standings. David Gravel, who has eight victories is second, followed by Brad Sweet, who has three wins.
Rounding out the top five are Pittman, who is the 2013 World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series champion, and Stewart.
Jason Johnson is sixth with a pair of wins this season, followed by rookie Sheldon Haudenschild and Logan Schuchart, who has a trio of wins, Saldana and Jason Sides.
Also competing in the series on a full-time basis are veterans Paul McMahan, Kraig Kinser and Greg Wilson. They are joined by Jacob Allen, Clyde Knipp and rookie Brent Marks.
In addition to the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, the WISSOTA Midwest modifieds will be competing at DSFS on July 1. A public fireworks display will follow the racing program.

Fans can also save $5 on the general admission ticket when purchased at participating NAPA Auto Parts stores.
Ticket buyers will exchange their NAPA receipt for a race ticket at the grandstands ticket booth on race day.
