Zell wins all-around for Tigers in Yankton

YANKTON — The Huron Tiger gymnasts finished third at the Yankton Invite Thursday evening, led by Erica Zell, who won two events and took the All-Around title at the meet
Host Yankton won the meet with a score of 137.15, with Madison finishing second with 136.8 points. Huron was third with a 131.60.
Zell took the All-Around with a total score of 36.55, easily outdistancing Yankton’s Ava Koller who was second with 34.55. Huron’s Kasandra Decker finished seventh in the All-Around.
In individual events, Zell won both the Uneven Parallel Bars (9.25) and the Vault (9.2) and tied with Koller for the top score on the Balance Beam with an 8.9. On Floor Exercise, Zell finished second, by 5/100ths of a point to Koller.
Other top 10 finishes for the Tigers included Decker, who was 10th on Bars, earned a fifth-place finish on Beam, and tied for ninth on Floor.McKenzie Paulson finished in a tie for ninth on Beam for Huron.
