HURON — Get chilled, warmed up and dressed up this weekend at events in Huron.

Saturday begins with Coffee with the Legislators at 9 a.m. at city hall, to catch up on this year’s legislative session.

After catching with local lawmakers, take in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge at Ravine Lake, or, better yet, register at Big D’s Timeout at 11:30 a.m. and take the Plunge! Funds raised are earmarked for S.D. Special Olympics.

After you are out of the lake, dried and dressed, head to Thunderbird for the Huron Connect Soup Saturday.

Set from 3 to 6 p.m., a donation to the Backpack Program will get you some warm and tasty soup.

Then head home, but on you best duds and make tracks to the annual Diamonds and Denim Gala and Auction, set to begin at 5:30 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic School, which is a fun night out to raise funds for HTCS.

Finally, wnter crazy days began Thursday throughout Huron. Check with participating local merchants for details on their deals!
