'Climb for a Cause' at Anytime Fitness

HURON — Anytime Fitness invites you to “Climb for a Cause” Sept. 9-15.

There is no better time to show your support for firefighters in their selfless efforts to save lives and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice on Sept. 11, 2001.

Club members and the community can make a $5 donation for every 15 minutes on the stair climber. Climb 110 flights of stairs, representing 110 floors of the WorldTrade Center, or participate in as many steps as you choose. Any donation amount is welcome, regardless of steps climbed.

All proceeds will be given to the local fire department, helping educate our youth in Fire Prevention.

Stop by Anytime Fitness, 2325 Dakota Ave. N., or call 605-554-1555 to schedule your time.

Did you know…
• The World Trade Center had 110 stories in each tower. That’s 1,980 steps.
• The NorthTower was 1,368 feet high, while the South Tower was 1,362 feet high.

• 50,000 people worked in the TwinTowers daily. That’s nearly four times the population of Huron!

Sadly, 343 firefighters died on Sept. 11. Now, thousands of firefighters climb steps every year on this day to pay tribute to those who lost their lives.
