Red, white and blue decorations were in evidence Friday in Huron, as efforts were made to prepare for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
Below, Sylvia Kattner, left, and Michele Wilkie, from Rainbow Flower Shop, attach patriot ribbons to trees in Campbell Park. The ribbons were purchased by the VFW Auxiiary for display.
Above are flags, purchased by the VFW and VFW Auxiliary, which are attached to the fence at Riverside Cemetery on 21st Steet. The cemetery remains closed due to damage caused by the May 12 thunderstorm that passed through the area, so decorating the fence in recognition was done instead of putting flags on graves.
