Gange elected secretary of South Central Plains chapter of SDHCC

HURON — The South Central Plains Chapter of the South Dakota Health Care Coalition (SDHCC) recently elected Teresa Gange to the position of secretary, according to Erick Larson, president and CEO for Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC).

Gange is the Safety Officer and office assistant for the facilities department at HRMC and brings experience and expertise to her role with a background in health care and passion for preparedness.

“Teresa’s appointment underscores her dedication to advancing health care emergency readiness initiatives and fostering collaboration within the region’s health care community,” said Larson. “She is poised to make significant contributions to the coalition’s mission of promoting preparedness and response efforts.”

In the secretary position, Gange will play a key role in facilitating communication among coalition members and supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing emergency awareness for health care entities.

“I am honored to serve as secretary and become more involved in the SDHCC,” said Gange. “I look forward to working collaboratively with fellow coalition members to address the evolving health care safety and preparedness needs of our communities and ensure that we are well-prepared to respond to any challenges that may arise.”

The South Central Plains Chapter of the South Dakota Health Care Coalition serves as a vital platform for healthcare organizations, emergency responders, and community stakeholders to coordinate efforts, share resources, and enhance overall preparedness for public health emergencies and disasters.

Gange holds an associate degree in Health Care Administration as well as various certifications, including the ALICE active shooter instructor certification. She lives in Huron with her husband Gene and has two children, Matt and Jerry, along with two grandchildren, Ezra and Aria, who reside in Texas.
