Indian Education Summit begins with information, instruction

Starr Chief Eagle provided instruction on hoop dancing and its symbols and then gave a performance to attendees of the Indian Education Summit Friday at Huron Event Center.

The Summit ends today with a youth day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., open to the public with multiple breakout sessions, such as lessons on drumming, illustrating legends, and examining the uses and importance of the buffalo.
