To the Editor:
Do cooperative members want to have a say in key issues?
Would a member of a co-op care? Would they want to have a vote if the board wanted to break a contract with their power supplier and force members to buy power from an outsider at market prices? Market risk can be significant.
What if the board wouldn’t show us the contract they signed? Transparency? Do the cooperative members care?
Let the people vote!
Food for thought.
