March is hopping at Huron Public Library

Posted

HURON — There is a wide range of events and activities taking place at the Huron Public Library, during the month of March.

Join us for an enriching experience at the library’s newest initiative, “Coffee Chat,” where adults can participate in casual Q&A sessions.

These sessions provide a relaxed atmosphere for meaningful discussions and conversations, not intended as debates. This program marks a transformation of our beloved Mark’s Coffee Cart service.

We aim to host presentations and welcome speakers each month on selected Fridays for a delightful blend of coffee and conversation.
• March 1, 9:30 a.m.: Mayoral Candidate Bryan Smith.
• March 8, 1:30 p.m.: Mayoral Candidate Drew Weinreis.
• March 15, 9:30 a.m.: Brad Letcher with DOT.
• March 15, 1:30 p.m.: Mayoral Candidate Mark Robish.

Kids’ Korner (Birth-Grade 3)

Get ready for an exciting March at Kids Korner! We have lots of fun activities planned for the month, starting with the Read Across America Celebration on Saturday, March 2, at 1 p.m. Join us for an hour of Storytime, as we read “Dragons Love Tacos” by Adam Rubin. And to make things even more exciting, we will be hosting a walking taco bar to go along with the story!

Throughout March, we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday with a range of fun passive activities, so watch out for those.

In addition, Huron schools will be on spring break, which means students will get three Fridays off. We have scheduled some exciting programs for these days, including a Kids’ Korner Playdate on March 8 at 9:30 a.m. and a Delicious Books Storytime on March 15 at 10 a.m. These activities are suitable for all ages!

Don’t forget our regular scheduled activities, which include Early Release After the Bell Party, Little Explorers and Little Learners, Kids Club, Homeschool Hangout, and Dino Club. For more details, check out the Kids’ Korner Facebook page or the Library Calendar. We hope to see you at the library.

• STEM Mondays: March 11, 4 p.m. and March 25, 4 p.m.
