Parade route change; helpers still needed

Posted

HURON — The Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau’s Parade of Lights will see a slight change in its route this year.

Due to the ongoing infrastructure construction taking place at Dakota Ave. and Market Street, the parade line up take place starting at Market and Illinois Ave., this year.

Still needed for this year’s event are road blockers, to stop traffic along the parade route.

If you would like a front-row seat to the Parade of Lights, contact the Chamber at 605-352-0000 and lend a helping hand.

The 2023 Parade of Lights will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, running through downtown Huron on Dakota Ave., south to 21st Street.

You can still enter a float into this year’s parade as well. Just contact the chamber for a registration sheet. Deadline for entering is Nov. 23.
