HURON — Huron attorney and former State Senator Ron Volesky has recently been certified and approved as a lay preacher by the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference.

Volesky received his commissioning as a lay preacher at the First Congregational Church of Huron, where he will now serve in ministry.

As a lay minister, Volesky says that he looks forward to serving the congregation at First Congregational in a more expanded ministerial capacity. In recent years. Volesky has filled the pulpit on a regular basis at First Congregational, as well as preaching at other area churches.
