SIOUX FALLS — Beverly Powell, 83 of Sioux Falls, formerly of Wessington Springs, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019, at the Dougherty Hospice House.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 13, at the United Church of Christ in Wessington Springs. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Beverly Gayle Fischer was born on March 20, 1936, on a farm in rural Wessington to Theodore and Sophia (Freese) Fischer. She graduated in 1954 from Wessington Springs High School.
She was married to George Marvin Powell on June 18, 1955, at Rose Hill.
She is survived by her children, George, Ted (Jennifer) Powell of Yankton, Vernon Powell of Sioux Falls, and Nadene Powell of Sioux Falls; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Leona Ragonese and three sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her husband George Marvin Powell; brother, Russell Fischer and sister, Viola Hins.
Memorials may be directed to Templeton Church or Shakespeare Garden.
