PIERRE — The Department of Labor and Regulation Huron Job Service, in partnership with the Greater Huron Development Corporation and the Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau, will sponsor a virtual hiring event, beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7.
This event is designed to allow job seekers to visit online with employers in the Huron area to learn about their companies and job openings, and potentially interview on the same day.
Participating businesses can build brand awareness, find an untapped pool of qualified candidates, benefit from real-time interactions with potential employees, and save time and money finding qualified employees.
Registration is required for both job seekers and businesses. Go to dlr.sd.gov/virtual-job-fairs.aspx, find the Huron event, and click the appropriate registration link.
A Company/Recruiter Training Session is set from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, to walk employers through the steps to build their virtual booth. Details on the session will be provided after registering.
All hiring events are offered to businesses and job seekers free of charge.
