Fourth-graders at Holy Trinity Catholic School are learning about South Dakota history and Harvey Dunn, a famous painter from this area in South Dakota.
The classroom was recently visited by Ellen Halter, who lived next door to Dunn’s sister and knew the artist well from his many visits home. She wrote a book about her memories of Harvey Dunn, called “Shyster and Harvey,” which she shared with the classroom.
