HHS Quiz Bowl
Right now the Huron High School Quiz Bowl team is participating in two Quiz Bowls. Huron has a team competing in the Q107 Radio Quiz Bowl over teleconference. Round 1 Huron beating McCook Central 3-2.
You can view the brackets and listen to the podcasts at https://q107radio.com/quiz-bowl-2020/. Huron will go against Menno Nov. 10.
There are currently 30 teams in the competition, top eight will advance to the live competition at Pepsi Cola Theatre of Performing Arts Jan. 9. Last year Huron won first place. Quiz Bowl looks a little different this year because of COVID.
Currently the only other competition is the S.D. Virtual Quiz Bowl via Zoom on Monday’s after school. Round/week 1 Huron fell short to SF Lincoln HS but won against Madison in Round/week 2. They are looking forward to Round/week 3 on Monday.
Radio Quiz Bowl team members include Aubrey Rutledge, Tyson Lien, Katie Schoenfelder, Emma Littlefield and Landon Mohr.
S.D. Virtual Quiz Bowl team includes: Aubrey Rutledge, Katie Schoenfelder, Emma Littlefield Elizabeth Estrada, Lucas Sibley and Nathaniel Lyon.
Lindsey Brewer is their adviser.
