HURON — Marina T. Pappas, 68, of Huron, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday June 26, at the Grace Episcopal Church. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the Kuhler Funeral Home, with her family present from 5 to 7 p.m. this evening.
Marina Thomas Pappas was born July 29, 1950, in Huron to Thomas J. and Cleo (Manolis) Pappas.
In May 1968, Marina graduated from Huron High School. She then attended SDSU and graduated from Huron College. Her grandfather built the Square Deal Grocery in 1921. As the third generation, she continued the tradition of owning and working at Square Deal Grocery. She later worked at the Violet Tschetter Memorial Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her siblings, Christine Pappas, and James Pappas; aunt, Janice Manolis; cousins, Peter (Linda) Marcus, Gus (Cheryle) Marcus, Cindy (Red) Wilk, Gus (Eunice) Manolis, and Todd (Tricia) Manolis and their families.
