HURON — Marvin DeLong, 80, of Huron, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018, at SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron.
His burial service will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Marvin was born February 16, 1937, in White to Claus and Jennie (Hendricks) DeLong. He attended country school in the White area and attended Marshall School near Hitchcock. He was one of twelve children.
He worked for Weber Grill in Wood Dale, Ill. for many years. He enjoyed yardwork and fishing north of Huron on the James River.
He is survived by his children, Mary DeLong, and Marvin DeLong Jr. both of Ill.; brother, Claus (Junior) DeLong of Huron; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and seven brothers.
