SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Allan P. Heikkinen, age 79, of Southfield, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family.
His graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron. Military honors will be conducted by the South Dakota Army National Guard Honors Team.
Allan Paul Heikkinen was born on September 25, 1944 in Baraga, Michigan. He married Diana Krutzfeldt on July 3, 1965 in Taylor, Michigan. Allan joined the Army in November of 1966 and was honorably discharged in November of 1972.
Allan worked for Medrow in concrete construction for many years. He was a member of the Laborer’s Union. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his wife, Diana of Southfield, MI; his daughter, Kristen; three sisters, Joyce Larson, Pat Anderson, and Ruth White.
He was preceded by his parents and three brothers, Ron, Floyd, and Robert.
