8th grade
MITCHELL – The Huron The Huron eighth grade girls dropped a pair to the Kernels, with the A game going to Mitchell 39-28 and the B game going to the Kernels by a 15-12 score.

In the A game, Isabelle Kremer scored 17 points to lead the Tigers. Jessalyn Noyes added five points, Abagail Harrington chipped in four points, and Natalie Kinsley dropped in a pair of points for Huron.

Landyn Wenzel led the Tigers with six points in the low-scoring B game. Nakia Mohr added three points, Natalie Kinsley put in two points, and Camdyn Fuchs hit a free throw for Huron.

7th grade
MITCHELL – The Huron Tigers seventh-grade girls basketball teams played to a split with the Mitchell Kernels Thursday in Mitchell.

In the A game, Mitchell won 29-23. Maggie Storm hit for eight points to lead the Tigers. Reagan Bischoff put in eight points, Lennon Magness Caudell added five, and Jayda Morrison chipped in four points for Huron.

The Tigers ran away with the B game, 23-8. Reva McGough led the scoring with eight points for Huron. Charleigh Brewer and Kaleigh Nicola each had six points. Kinsley Armstrong put in two points and Naw Soe Paw made a free throw to account for the Tigers’ scoring in the game.

The Tigers middle school girls are back in action Saturday at Aberdeen.
