HURON — Steven K. “Snacks” Olson, 70, of Huron, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018, at the SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron. 
His memorial service will be 11 a.m., Monday, October 8, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Huron with burial in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery in Huron. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
 Steven Kip Olson was born April 23, 1948, in Huron to Virgil and Ruth Elaine (Knapp) Olson. He graduated from Huron High School in 1966.
He was united in marriage to  Kathryn Lyle February 27, 1972. He worked at Terex Manufacturing for many years as a machinist. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Motocross.   
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Brian (Alice) Olson of Minneapolis, and Brad (Karlie) Olson of Huron; two grandsons; siblings, Brad (Char) Olson of Rapid City, Kim (Leon) Roberts of Pierre, and Lisa Sperl of Colo.; sister-in-law, Patsy (Dennis) Hart of Bellevue, Neb.; as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Molly.
 He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and special grandmother, Helen Knapp.
