Viola 'Vicki' LaFortune, 91, of Highmore

HIGHMORE — Viola “Vicki” LaFortune, 91, of Highmore, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at the Highmore Health in Highmore.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m., followed by a 6 p.m. prayer service, Sunday, February 24, at Luze Funeral Home at Highmore. Burial will be in the Highmore Cemetery.  
Vicki was born January 14, 1928, to Sam Bob and Dolphy Ada (Parlin) Dalton. She was raised on a farm near the Ashdown Ranch until she was seven and then moved to Loomis township. When she reached her teens, she attended the Redfield Academy for two years.
She was united in marriage to Llewllyn David LaFortune December 20, 1945. While raising her family of nine children, she worked fifteen years as a housekeeper for Clayton Jennings and later for the Hyde County Court House as a custodian, retiring at the age of 70.
She is survived by her children, Ronald (Linda) LaFortune, Janice (Jerry) Vlcek, Janell Boschee, Robert LaFortune, Randy LaFortune, Janita (Doug) Lueders, Jolynn (Jeff) Shuford, Jeanna (Clint) Schafer and Charlotte Rouse; brothers,
Forest, Jay, and Jimmie Dalton; and many grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Llewllyn; brother, Ralph; infant sister; son-in-law, Duane Boschee; and nephew, Terry Dalton.
