Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central 50, Webster Area 12
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — The fourth-ranked Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central Blackhawks rolled up 494 yards on offense to take a 50-12 victory over the Webster Area Bearcats Friday in Wessington Springs.

Quarterback Holden Havlik led the Blackhawks with 265 yards on 12 of 28 passing, tossing two touchdowns and an interception. He also carried the ball five times for 66 yards and a score.

Tyson Eddy ran eight times for 62 yards and a score while Payton Uecker ran eight times with 36 yards and a touchdown. Ryder Michalek grabbed five receptions for 132 yards and two touchdowns while Colby Flowers made three catches for 74 yards and a touchdown.

Individual statistics were not available for the Bearcats, now 1-3.

The Blackhawks travel to top-ranked Winner Friday.

Burke 64, Sunshine Bible Academy 38
MILLER — The Burke Cougars opened and closed the game strong to defeat the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders 64-38 in an offensive showdown Friday at Sunshine Bible Academy school.

Kaleb Schonebaum had a monster game for the Cougars, now 2-2, with 361 yards rushing and five touchdowns on the ground on 36 carries. He also had a pair of 2-point conversion runs.

Gentry Bartling added 13 carries for 141 yards and two touchdowns. Morgan Hood had the other touchdown on the ground for Burke.

Trey Thieman had a big game at quarterback for SBA (1-3). He was 8 of 18 passing for 242 yards and four touchdowns with one interception as well. Jacob Hadden had four receptions for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Jimmy Burma had one catch for a 74-yard touchdown and Tarrence Mickelson had three catches for 54 yards and two touchdowns.

Seth Konechne had 16 tackles, including two for loss, to lead the Crusader defense.

The Crusaders will travel to Iroquois Friday to play Iroquois/Lake Preston.

Sioux Valley 56, Clark/Willow Lake 36
CLARK — The third-ranked Sioux Valley Cossacks used a dominant run game to rack up 282 yards on the ground en route to a 56-36 victory over the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones Friday in Clark.

Brock Christopherson led the attack for Sioux Valley, now 3-0, with 154 yards on 15 carries. Maverick Nelson ran five times for 39 yards and a pair of touchdowns and also scored on a 91-yard kickoff return for the Cossacks.

Mitchell Guthmiller and Wyatt Hardt each scored two touchdowns on the ground for Sioux Valley.

Emerson Larson had a strong all-around game for the Cyclones, completing 7 of 12 passes for 219 yards and three scores, rushing for 63 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries, and leading the defense with eight tackles and an interception.

The Cyclones (2-1) play at Parker on Friday.

DE SMET — The third-ranked Elkton-Lake Benton Elks were ungracious guests on Friday, running away with a 42-0 victory at Wilkinson Field in De Smet over the Bulldogs.

The Elks move to 4-0 with the win while the Bulldogs fall to 1-3.

Tanner Stein had a big game for the Elks, running for 146 yards on five carries with four touchdowns. He also grabbed three receptions for 42 yards and another score and led the defense with 11 tackles.

Blake De Vries added 129 yards on nine carries and a touchdown and had 10 tackles and a fumble recovery on defense.

Gannon Gilligan had 38 yards on 11 carries for De Smet while Ganon Henrich had 10 carries for 26 yards and also grabbed a 34-yard reception.

The Bulldogs travel to play Florence/Henry on Sept. 27.
