Exceptional women to be recognized at the SHE Awards

HURON — The ninth annual SHE Awards will be taking place on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Huron. The award nominees will be recognized for their contribution in the areas of community service, humanitarianism, leadership, and a commitment to the welfare of those who are underserved. Nomination categories are Community Service, Woman of Influence, Unsung Hero Award and Empowering SHE.

The SHE committee is proud to announce the creation of a new nomination category this year - the Rising Star Scholarship Award. This award is designed to honor an exceptional high school senior girl who is graduating in the spring of 2025 and has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service.

The ideal candidate exemplifies leadership, dedication, and a passion for making a positive impact in her community. She plans to continue her education at either a two-year technical school or a four-year college. The winner will receive a $500 scholarship to support her educational journey.

The awards, which are sponsored by Avail Wealth Management LLC, will be held at the Huron Events Center. The event will start at 4:30pm with a social and the awards ceremony will begin at 5:00pm.
