HURON — The Huron Tiger Speech and Debate team ended their regular season in Watertown at the NSDA Student Congress qualifying tournament.
Competing were Tessa Gogolin, Lily Halter, and Sofiya Azimova, Antony Sorto and Cameron Cutshaw.
Cutshaw finished the season strong and became an alternate to the National Tournament in Des Moines, IA in June.
At the awards ceremony, the SDFCA honored 16 outstanding seniors in four senior award categories. Awards given were the Karl E. Mundt and Donus D. Roberts in debate, the Harold Jordan award for individual events, and the Rosella Blunk award for oral interpretation.
Cameron Cutshaw and Samanth Swanson both received the Rosella Blunk Award for outstanding senior interpers.
