Iroquois students recognized at HOSA International Leadership Conference

Members of Iroquois HOSA recently returned from the HOSA-Future Health Professionals International Leadership Conference in Houston, Texas.

The International Leadership Conference is held every year with more than 10,000 HOSA members and advisors from around the globe in attendance. While at the conference, the students have opportunities to attend more than 75 Educational Symposium workshops, visit the HOSA Expo where they have the opportunity to meet with representatives from many different colleges, medical schools, and other health organizations to share career information with HOSA members. Most of all, the Conference highlights the students that have excelled at their respective state competitions.

This year, several Iroquois HOSA members were recognized for Barbara James Service Award hours - BRONZE level - Chenoa Harris, Skyla Harris, Natalie Cundy, Zoei Schmidt-Ellman, Airabella Deysel, Emma Eckmann, and Madi Burma and GOLD level Kali Burma.

Other awards and recognition that Iroquois HOSA received at the International Leadership Conference were for their work with the National Service Project - Be The Match (now known as NMDP), HOSA Happenings, and America’s Blood Centers.
