Tigers earn two wins

MILBANK — The Huron boys’ tennis team collected a pair of wins during a triangular on Thursday.

The Tigers opened the day with a 9-0 shutout against Milbank and then edged Aberdeen Roncalli 5-4.

“The boys picked up two good Class A wins today in not so favorable conditions,” Huron coach Tim Hedblom said. “The boys battled the wind, cold temperatures and two good opponents.”

The Tigers won five of the six matches they played in doubles, which impressed Hedblom.

“I’m very proud of how our doubles teams played today,” he said. “They improved on some things we have been working on and it showed today.”

Dah Christ Moo at No. 1, Say Poe at No. 5 and Maner Htoo at No. 6 were all 2-0 in singles during the triangular.
