HURON The Huron Memorial Day program was held Monday morning at the Huron High School Auditorium. Ron Volesky was the guest speaker.
Troops from Boy Scout Troops No. 151 and No. 222 presented the POW/MIA chair ceremony and performed a ceremonial folding of the flag as Beadle County Veterans Service Officer Taylor Jans explained the 13 folds of the flag.
Volesky then delivered the keynote address, stating that this auditorium should be full! as he recalled the sacrifices made by service members being honored at the program.
Boy Scouts then laid the wreaths on the crosses on stage before Jake Salathe played taps.
