The City of Huron and South Dakota Department of Transportation will host an informational meeting on Tuesday, March 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the Huron Events Center to discuss the next step of the Dakota Ave. project.
Construction on the section of the project from Third St. N. to Ninth St. S. will complete during 2025.
The next section from Ninth St. S. to 21st St. S. begins in 2026. This meeting will discuss the work the city will do on water and sewer lines as part of the project as well as the work that SDDOT plans to do regarding access points, trees, and other concerns that have been expressed by community members.
The public is encouraged to attend.
