HURON — Using a 21-10 run in the second quarter, No. 6-ranked Aberdeen Christian went on to claim a 71-48 victory against James Valley Christian on Thursday.
The Knights led 33-18 at the half and carried a 53-31 lead into the final quarter.
Brooks Jett had 23 points to lead Aberdeen Christian, which improved to 9-2, Jett Johnson and Raymond Rodriguez-Martinez each had 11 points, while Dylan Hofer added nine points.
Jayven Van Scharrel was the lone player to reach double figures for JVC (7-5) with 15 points. Noah Fast and Kade Ober each had eight points.

After leading 31-24 at the half, the Warriors carried a 41-33 lead into the final quarter.
Will Aderhold had 13 points to lead three players in double figures for Castlewood, which improved to 12-2. Leonard Warnke and Kamden Keszler each had 10 points.
Lucas Peskey had 12 points to lead Iroquois/Lake Preston, which is now 5-8. Brycen Blue had 10 points, while Rexton Blue and Carter Arbeiter added five and four points, respectively.
Peyton Hope had a team-high six rebounds for the Sharks, while Rexton Blue had three steals.

The Lady Blackhawks held a 19-8 lead after the opening quarter and held a 32-20 advantage heading into the second half.
Liz Boschee had a game-high 22 points to lead Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, which improved to 12-1.
Addison Bartholow had 18 points, which included half of the team’s six 3-pointers. Kali Hofer and Lainey Goertz added six and five points, respectively.
Boschee had a team-high 13 rebounds for the Lady Blackhawks. Goertz had six assists, while Boschee, Hofer and Ramsey Fouberg each had two steals.
Kerstynn Heim was the lone player to reach double figures for Wessington Springs, with 14 points. Kendall Kolousek and Masynn Mebius had seven and six points, respectively.

Shae Uttecht led Wolsey-WEssingotn with 13 points, while Payton Peterson had 10 points. Kendall Uttecht added nine points.

Jolie Fogarty had 18 points to lead Aberdeen Christian, which is now 1-10. Reagan Jett and Jacie Fogerty had 10 and nine points, respectively.
Rylin Wipf led the Lady Vikings, who are now 2-9, with 14 points. Dara Olowu-Davies had six points and Kaitlyn Stahl had five points.

The Warriors led 14-4 in the opening quarter and outscored Iroquois/Lake Preston 10-5 in the second quarter to build a 24-9 lead at the half. With a 10-4 run in the third quarter, Castlewood led 34-13 heading into the final quarter.
Clair Horn had 10 points to lead the Warriors, while Sophia Kudrna had eight points.
Hadlee Holt had eight points to lead Iroquois/Lake Preston, which is now 5-8. Bentlee Holt had six points.
The Sharks will play at James Valley Christian today.

The Blackhawks led 34-17 at the half.
Eli White and Sam Baruth each had 13 points to lead Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, which improved to 10-2. Grant Edwards added nine points.
White had seven rebounds and three steals for the Blackhawks, while McCoy Schulz had four assists and three steals.

The Vikings, who improved to 7-4, opened a 17-6 lead after the first quarter of pla. Highmore-Harrold returned the favor in the second quarter and the teams went into the half tied 27-27.
The Pirates held a 38-37 edge after the third quarter, but were unable to hold the lead during the final eight minutes of play.
Noah Fast had 17 points to lead three players in double figures for JVC. Jayven Van Scharrel had 12 points, while Kolby VanDerWerff had 10 points.

Kahre’s effort replaces the school’s previous 3-point record of nine. He finished with a game-high 36 points for the Warbirds, who improved to 10-5.
