HURON –– They never trailed on the night, but it took until the fourth quarter for the Huron Tigers to pull away from the Pierre Governors for a convincing 54-39 victory on Tuesday at Huron Arena.

The Tigers move to 12-4 behind a huge night from Chase. He had 27 points, 12 rebounds, three steals, and three blocks to lead Huron.
Carter Porisch added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers.
Having two players with double-digit rebounds was a testament to the way the team played in the second half, according to Huron coach Tim Buddenhagen.
“We dominated the glass in the second half,” he said. “Davis and Carter caught fire to lead us offensively.”
Pierre fell to 4-11. Dilges was the lone double-figure scorer with 11.
The Tigers travel to Aberdeen on Thursday.
Buddenhagen was very pleased with his team’s effort without their top player.
“Can’t say enough about our kids. We didn’t find out until about four yesterday that Blake was going to be out,” Buddenhagen stated. “For these kids to come out with that kind of effort and to play with guts was huge.”
