MITCHELL –– The Centerville Tornadoes jumped out early and had the Highmore-Harrold Pirates playing catch-up the rest of the game en route to a 57-41 victory in the SoDak 16 Thursday in Mitchell.
The Tornadoes move to 21-2 and reach the Class “B” state tournament for the third straight season after scoring the first 12 points of the game and finishing the first quarter leading 17-4.
The Pirates came around in the second half, outscoring Centerville 28-24, but after trailing by 20 at half, the hole was simply too big to overcome.

Highmore-Harrold’s Autumn Fallis puts up a shot during Thursday’s game.
The long-range shooting and fast pace of Centerville early on were keyed by sophomore leading scorer Izzie Eide, who finished with a game-high 19 points. Brea Austin added 16 points, including four three-point baskets.
The Pirates finish the season 18-5. Leading scorer Jada Baloun paced the Pirates with 15 points. Autumn Fallis finishes her Highmore-Harrold career with nine points.
The Tornadoes return to the state tournament after finishing third in 2025 and winning the title in 2024. It will be the school’s fifth trip to the state tourney.
