Iroquois/Doland 81, James Valley Christian 53
IROQUOIS - The Iroquois/Doland Chiefs took a quick 10-point lead in the first period against the James Valley Christian Vikings, and the rout was on from that point in the opening game of Region 3B postseason action, as the Chiefs took the victory 81-53.
James Valley was led by Landon Wallman with 13 points on the evening. Karlus Waldner added in 11 points, and Zach Kleinsasser dropped in 10 points for the Vikings, who finish the year 2-18
The Chiefs put all five starters into double-digit scoring as they moved to 10-11 on the season. Cole Nelson had 16 points, including four from behind the arc, to lead Iroquois/Doland. Reilyn Zavesky and Keistan Dubro each pitched in 15 points, Brandon Decker netted 13 points, and Shawn Diehl chipped in 12 points while also grabbing 14 rebounds to lead the team.
The Chiefs hit the road Tuesday to take on second-seeded Arlington in Arlington.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 58, Mitchell Christian 23
FORESTBURG - The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks started off their postseason play in style, with a 35-point victory over Mitchell Christian, 58-23.
The Golden Eagles finish the season with a 1-20 record after the loss. Max Reynen led Mitchell Christian with seven points.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket bumped up their record to 12-9 with the win as Noah Dickson had a big game. The senior scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for game-high marks in both categories. Cayden Slykhuis also pulled down 10 boards while Malachi Bruce chipped in 13 points in the victory.
The Blackhawks travel to Howard tomorrow evening.

Sunshine Bible Academy 50, North Central 35
EUREKA - The Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders won their opening game of the postseason Monday against North Central 50-35 in Region 2B boys action.
Sunshine Bible jumped out early and had a 10-point deficit by halftime, cruising from that point to the victory.
North Central finishes the year 5-16. Chris Mashalek and Trevor Beyers each scored eight points to lead their squad. Mashalek and Bryce Beitelspacher each grabbed six boards.
Sunshine Bible was paced by their big man as Jade Burma dropped in a game-high 22 points and secured 13 rebounds. Dylan Hass added 10 points, and Daniel Kegbeh hauled in 10 rebounds for the Crusaders, who move to 7-14 on the year.
The Crusaders travel to Onida Tuesday to face top-seeded Sully Buttes.

Clark/Willow Lake 45, Flandreau Indian School 41
WILLOW LAKE - It wasn’t easy, but the Cyclones of Clark/Willow Lake pulled off an opening round win against Flandreau Indian School in Region 2A girls action Monday night, 45-41.
Flandreau Indian School led 22-20 at the half, but  Clark/Willow Lake rallied for a 36-35 lead heading into the final quarter.
For Flandreau Indian School, Kianna Haas netted a game-high 19 points while Ciarra Frenchman bucketed 12 points for the Lady Indians, who finish the year at 11-9.
Clark/Willow Lake moves up to 12-9 on the year with the win as Chayla Vig was the only Cyclone in double figures with 12 points in a balanced scoring attack.
The Cyclones travel to face top-seeded Hamlin at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
The winner of Thursday’s game advances to the Class A SoDak 16.
