Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 65, Sunshine Bible Academy 29
MILLER — Using a 20-3 run in the third quarter, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket pulled away for a 65-29 victory against Sunshine Bible Academy on Saturday.

Jeff Boschee had 17 points and four assists to lead Sanborn Central/Woonsocket. Payton Uecker also reached double figures with 12 points, while Cody Slykhuis added nine points.

Trey Moody grabbed a team-high nine rebounds for the Blackhawks, while Bryce Larson had seven steals.

Owan Watson led Sunshine Bible Academy with 12 points. Trey Thieman and Dominic Kalacinski added seven and six points, respectively.

Both teams return to action Tuesday. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket hosts Hitchcock-Tulare in Woonsocket, while Sunshine Bible Academy travels to play Faulkton Area.

TULARE — Ipswich rallied in the fourth quarter for a 57-48 victory against Hitchcock-Tulare on Saturday.

Trevor Heinz turned in a game-high 24 points for Ipswich. Jace Konsor had 15 points and Chet Peterson added 11 points.

Patrick Maynard had 10 points to lead a balanced scoring attack for Hitchcock-Tulare. Erik Salmen had nine point, while Devin Enander added eight points.

Salmen also had nine rebounds for the Patriots, while Maynard had three steals.

Hitchcock-Tulare travels to play Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in Woonsocket on Tuesday.

WHITE — De Smet opened the season with a 62-49 victory against Deubrook Area on Friday.

The Bulldogs outscored Deubrook Area 17-6 during the final eight minutes to secure the win.

Grant Wilkinson had 27 points to lead three player sin double figures for De Smet. George Jensen had 12 points, while Kadyn Fast had 10 points and Tom Aughenbaugh had eight points.

Wilkinson and Fast shared the rebounding honors with seven boards each for the Bulldogs. Jensen and Aughenbaugh each had five assists.

Jacob Jorenby led Deubrook Area with 16 points and three steals.

TULARE — Hitchcock-Tulare outscored Ipswich 15-6 in the third quarter en route to a 53-40 victory on Saturday.

Katelyn Schroeder finished with a game-high 20 points to lead the Lady Patriots. Cambree Hoekman also reached double figures with 16 points.

Hoekman and Isabel Gilbert each had six rebounds for Hitchcock-Tulare. Schroeder and Emmerie Arthurs each had three assists.

Gabby Wold led Ipswich with 18 points, four assists and three steals. Tristan Geditz had five rebounds.

Hitchcock-Tulare will play Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in Woonsocket on Tuesday.

Liz Boschee had 24 points to lead the Lady Blackhawks, while Kennadie Ochsner had 15 points.

Kara Wormstadt grabbed four rebounds for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket. Ochsner and Jaycee Baruth each had four assists and Boschee had seven steals.

Betra Amare and Breanna Thieman each had three points for Sunshine Bible Academy. Amare also had four rebounds, while Annaliese VanZee had three assists.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket will play Hitchcock-Tulare in Woonsocket on Tuesday. Sunshine Bible Academy travels to play Faulkton Area on Tuesday.
