HURON — Barry L. Koch, 53, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his residence.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, October 9, at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial in Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Welter Funeral Home or visitation one hour prior to the funeral.
Barry Lee Koch was born December 13, 1963, in Huron to Donald L. and Arlene L. (Davis, Wiand) Koch. He was raised in Wolsey until moving to Huron, when he entered the Center for Independence. He was employed by  Fair City Foods for over 14 years. He enjoyed accompanying his dad hunting and enjoyed watching NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his father, Donald (Emy Volz) of Rapid City; sisters, Brenda Koch of Worthing, Charlene Lindsey of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Jacqueline (Mike) Baiotto of Stauton, Va.; uncle, Jerry Koch of Colorado Springs, Colo.; aunts, Janice Jungemann of Wolsey, Judy Nelson of Huron, Janette Kleinfeld of Boca Raton, Fla., and Macy Davis of Huron; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Darold “Dutch” Wiand; a niece in infancy; grandparents; several aunts and uncles; and brothers-in-law, Donald Lindsey, and Larry Fanning.
Arrangements are under the care of Welter Funeral Home in Huron.
