HURON — PEO Chapter CH announces that Courtney Baszler was awarded a PEO ELF Loan.
The Educational Loan Fund (ELF) is the oldest project of PEO International. It was established in 1907 and is a revolving loan fund that was established to lend money to qualified women to assist them in securing a higher education.
As of April 2018, PEO International has loaned $195.4 million. PEO’s mission is to celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate women to achieve their highest aspirations.
P.E.O. Sisterhood is a nonprofit organization, that as of April 2018, has helped more than 105,000 women pursue educational goals by providing over $321 million in educational assistance — making a difference in women’s lives through six philanthropies and a foundation. PEO celebrated its 150th anniversary on Jan. 21.
