HURON — A trend in Beadle County continued with Friday’s COVID-19 numbers from the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH), as the active numbers again rose in the county.
The state added 164 new positive cases and 124 new recovered cases in Friday’s DOH numbers. That leaves the state with an increase to 2,096 active virus cases.
Beadle County added eight new positive cases and four new recovered cases. The active cases in the county rose to 113. That number had not been seen since Dec. 19.
The Heartland Region is noting increasing numbers in more than just Beadle County. Across the seven-county region, numbers have bumped up, leading to active cases up to 170 in the region as of Friday’s numbers.
The region had been as low as 119 active cases as recently as Feb. 10.
