HURON — While the state saw active cases decrease statewide in the Tuesday numbers from the South Dakota Department of Health (DOH), local and region numbers went up in those same numbers.
The state added 229 new positive cases, three new deaths, and 293 new recovered cases in Tuesday’s COVID-19 numbers. Active cases statewide declined to 1,445.
Beadle County saw active COVID cases rise to 30 as eight new positive cases and two new recovered cases were reported in Tuesday’s DOH numbers.
The Heartland Region reported 13 new positive cases, one new death, the 17th COVID-related death in Kingsbury County, and four new recovered cases across the seven-county region. Active virus cases rose to 60 in the Heartland.
