This year’s recipient of the Bob Duxbury Award is Dave Stout, center, from De Smet, is shown with both the Duxbury and Stout families at the presentation of the award on Sept. 6 at the start of the Team Fitting competition at the Open Class Beef Barn. Dave’s commitment to the cattle shows and 4-H youth, as well as the huge role he played in starting the Team Fitting Contest at the State Fair, embody the attributes of a Bob Duxbury Award winner.
The Bob Duxbury Award began in 2006 as a way to annually honor a dedicated Friend of the Fair that has given years of service and dedicated support to the S.D. State Fair.
