WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Clara E. Besty Stulken, 96, of Wessington Springs, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017, at the Weskota Manor Avera.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday October 20, at the First United Methodist Church in Wessington Springs. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Betsy was born February 25, 1921, in Alpena to James and Mae Elizabeth (Eaton) Blow. She was raised and educated in South Dakota. She was united in marriage to George Stulken August 24, 1940.
She enjoyed playing cards and board games. She was a charter member of the Tuesday Sues extension club. She also liked to sew and loved cooking. She was very devoted to the Methodist church.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita (Dale) Leischner of Buffalo, Wyo.; sister, Hazel (Bob) Suedes of Casper, Wyo.; foster daughter, Patti (Greg) Kogel of Mitchell; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, George; daughter, Kathryn (John) Manning; siblings, Mary Warner, Alice Schipper, Jeanette Farmer, Isabelle Blow, Louie Blow, and Donny Blow; and grandson Kent Manning.
