NAMI-Huron plans program Thursday
HURON — NAMI-Huron will feature two guest speakers at a program from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at the Drop In Center, 255 Iowa Ave. S.E.
Art Zambrono, PhD, whom the Drop In Center is named after, will speak on mental health; and Roseann Olson will be presenting, “In Our Own Voice,” a personal journey from the dark days of mental illness to learning how to live in recovery.
A short break will be held between the presentations. There will be time for questions for each speaker.
Consumers attending will receive tokens that will be good for one hour of bingo. The date for bingo will be announced.
The NAMI-Walk planned May 20 in Sioux Falls will also be discussed. All funds raised in the walk remain in South Dakota. For more information contact Lois at 350-9516.

HHS Class of ’62 plans 55th reunion
HURON — The Huron High School Class of ’62 will be getting together for a regular monthly first Wednesday breakfast/coffee at the Plains Shoreline Room from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday to begin working on the program and memory book for the 55th class reunion planned Sept. 22-24.
The theme of the memory book will feature the grade school years. Classmates are urged to look through their pictures for classmate pictures and class group pictures and bring them to the meeting or email them to one of the addresses below.

First UMW tickets available now for upcoming Tour of Tables
HURON — The United Methodist Women of Huron First United Methodist Church will host its eighth annual Tour of Tables & Luncheon, on Saturday, June 3, at First UMC, 2660 Dakota Ave. S.
The Tour of Tables, featuring many beautiful themes, will begin at 10 a.m., with the luncheon to follow at 11:30 a.m. Advance tickets only will be sold. Please call the church office at 352-8604 for ticket information by May 28.

Delta Chapter to hear program on Israel
HURON — “Israel: A Different View,” a photographic trip through Israel, will be presented by member Rita Hilgedick at the Delta Kappa Gamma meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Huron Event Center Library.
In addition to the program, members will be gathering and packing items for a Huron shelter. Guests are welcome. For more information call 354-0162.

Huron Area Yarners meet Thursday
HURON — The Huron Area Yarners (knitters/crocheters) will have their first meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Java Hut Quilts & More.
All area knitters and crocheters are invited to attend!

Mother’s Day Brunch planned Saturday
HURON — A Mother’s Day Brunch is planned at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Huron Senior Center. The menu will feature an egg bake, caramel rolls, fresh fruit, orange juice or orange juice with champagne, and coffee.
Tickets are on sale through Wednesday, May 3. The cost is $8. Door prizes will be drawn at the end of the program.
Everyone is invited to attend.

Senior Center plans Coffee Shoppe hours Wednesday
HURON — The Coffee Shoppe at the Huron Senior Center will be serving caramel rolls and coffee from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The suggested donation is $2. Come and join in on the conversation of the day. All are welcome.
The next Coffee Shoppe date will be June 7.
