HURON — The 11th annual Classic Car & Bike Cruise Night will be held in Huron on the evening of Tuesday, July 13.
Anyone with a classic car or motorcycle is invited to join the cruise on Dakota Avenue from 6 until 7 p.m. Then from 7 to 8 p.m., participants will meet in the west parking lot of First United Methodist Church, at 2660 Dakota S, for a mini Show & Shine.
There’s no registration or charge to participate, and First Methodist will be serving hotdogs, chips and pop for a freewill donation.
All proceeds will go to the community Backpack Program.
The Backpack program works in cooperation with local schools to provide at-risk children in Huron with nutritious and easy-to-prepare foods to take home for the weekend when the school lunch program is not available.
The public is invited to stop out for a hotdog, chips and pop and view the cars and bikes on display.
Bring a lawn chair and have a great time. The public is asked to park in the east or south parking lot.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held the following evening, July 14.
